Gas line repair & installation
Licensed gas line repair and installation for ranges, dryers, water heaters, tankless units, remodels and new construction.
Smell gas? Leave the building right away. Don't flip switches or use anything that could spark. Call your gas company or 911 from outside. Once it's safe, call us for the repair.
What we do
In Texas, gas piping work has to be done by a licensed plumber, and many cities require a permit and a pressure test. We handle the gas piping from the meter to your appliances. The gas company usually handles the meter and the line to it.
- Gas leak repair on house and building piping
- New gas lines for ranges, cooktops, dryers and water heaters
- Gas line upgrades for tankless water heaters
- Gas piping for remodels, additions and new construction
- Pressure testing gas piping after repairs or for inspection
- Shut-off valves and appliance connectors
Common problems we see
Gas smell near an appliance
Often a loose fitting or a worn appliance connector — but treat any gas smell as an emergency first.
Adding or moving an appliance
Switching to a gas range or dryer, or relocating one during a remodel.
Going tankless
A tankless water heater usually needs more gas than a tank, so the line often has to be upsized.
Service shut off
If the gas company or an inspector has shut off service, the piping has to be repaired and pass a test before it's turned back on.
What to expect
- Get safe, then call. If you smell gas, leave first. Otherwise, call or send a request with what you need.
- We inspect and test. We find the problem or plan the new line, including sizing it for your appliances.
- Repair or install. Work is done to code, with a permit and inspection where required.
- Test and restore. We pressure-test the piping and help get service restored.
When to call
- The gas company or an inspector shut off your gas or left a notice.
- You're adding a gas appliance or a tankless water heater.
- You're buying a home and want the gas piping checked.
- You smell gas — leave and call the gas company or 911 first, then us.
