Drain cleaning & sewer line repair

Slow sinks, backed-up toilets and main line stoppages cleared — and when a line keeps clogging, we find out why and fix the cause.

What we do

One slow drain is usually a local clog. Several drains backing up at once — or water coming up in the tub when the toilet flushes — usually points to the main line. Either way, we clear it and tell you what we found.

  • Kitchen, bathroom and laundry drain cleaning
  • Toilet, tub and shower clogs
  • Main sewer line stoppages
  • Sewer line repair and replacement
  • Cleanout installation where there's no good access point
  • Drain pipe repairs under sinks and in walls

Common problems we see

Kitchen sink clogs

Grease, food scraps and soap build up over time, especially in older pipes.

Main line backups

Wipes, grease and roots are the usual causes. Sewage coming up in the lowest drain — often a tub or shower — is the giveaway.

Tree roots

Roots work their way into small cracks and joints in older sewer lines and keep coming back.

Broken or sagging lines

Shifting clay soil can crack a sewer line or create a low spot where waste settles. These need a repair, not just a cleaning.

Gurgling and sewer smell

Gurgling drains or a sewer odor can mean a partial blockage or a venting problem.

What to expect

  1. Tell us which drains. Let us know which fixtures are slow or backed up, and whether it's one drain or several.
  2. We find the stoppage. We locate the blockage and clear it through the fixture or a cleanout.
  3. We tell you what we found. If something points to a bigger problem — roots, a break or a sag — we explain it and go over options.
  4. Repair if it's needed. Drain and sewer repairs are priced before we start.

When to call

  • Sewage is coming up in a tub, shower or floor drain — stop running water and flushing until it's cleared.
  • More than one drain is slow at the same time.
  • You've had to clear the same drain more than once in a few months.
  • You hear gurgling or smell sewer gas inside.

Good to know: Keep grease, wipes (even “flushable” ones) and paper towels out of your drains. Chemical drain cleaners can damage older pipes — if you've used one, tell the plumber before they open the drain.
